This car was awesome in Need For Speed...

I’ve always loved the Chrysler Atlantic...
Yes, it’s a modern copy of the Bugatti it’s named for, but I still think they did a good job on it!

Exactly where I learned about it, Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit.

Hmm that Volvo is pretty much what they ended up making.

Every boxter needs those rims.

It was my favorite Matchbox car as a kid. They did a good job indeed!

This! Deep dish Porsche Cup wheels look damned good.

That concept is from 1992 and was first used in 1998 with the then-new S80. Shows how advanced the basic design was.

I think the S80 is pretty ugly. Interesting how they pull out this concept that seems pretty advanced, but the car just turns out being weird.

I actually like the second generation S80.

It’s alright. I find it to be fairly bland at both ends.
Far more often you see the same cues on an S40 - truly a sad looking car

The second gen S40 looks far better with a spoiler, without it it just looks awkwardly wide.
I drive a first-gen S40, which takes some shaping cues from Volvo’s concept (it pre-dates the S80), but is clearly is mostly cribbing from the E36, especially in front.

I still have my Matchbox Chrysler Atlantic sitting on a shelf upstairs! :D

Most sedans in that size look very weird imo. I like the V40 though.

Mine is probably locked away in a box covered in sand dust:/ My HW and Matchbox cars were played with hard.
